PLOT SUMMARY: After interfering with a top -secret mission, THE PUNISHER is taken into custody by S.H.I.E.L.D. AGENT and AVENGER, BLACK WIDOW. At the orders of Director Nick Fury, Punisher and Black Widow are sent on a mission to stop LEVIATHAN, a global terrorist organization that plans to sell stolen S.H.I.E.L.D. technology to the highest bidder. Now, the vigilante and spy must work together to prevent this technology from falling into the wrong hands. The fate of the world, and of the AVENGERS, hangs in the balance.

REVIEW: I have to say that this animated movie is one of the best Marvel ever released till this date, I whish that that Marvel would continue doing such movies like this one, especially, talking about characters that are not given enough time on the screen or their own Anime TV series like Iron man, Avengers and Hulk.

For the characters Punisher and Black widow are well known, but hadn’t given enough space in any movie or TV series to expose their real colors. So, I believe this animated movie gave them at least some space in the pubic eye to see how these two characters would work together if the world’s fate depended on them.

We meet the punisher killing many people and from the first minute we think, wait just a minute, is this guy nuts or what? Is he really a good guy or just a killer? These questions are left so what without any answers till we meet Black widow on her mission to catch the Punisher and bring him to S.H.E.L.D. to work with them, and this is where is gets messy.

I really like the psychical, mental and dialogue banter between the punisher and Black widow, it feels real, rough, and professional. Although it’s an Avenger movie, but we barely see the Avengers in the movie except very small scenes where they help the two main characters this time to complete their road to find the missing technology that was stolen from S.H.E.L.D couple of weeks ago.

The main thing that caught my attention is the use of light in this movie, it’s dim light, very dark, depending so much on shades, dark places and creepy colors. Then you have the fighting scenes between the Punisher and Black widow, and of course their own fight scenes with the enemy. There are several good points in this movie which I recommend people to see it for such as the true and the bad ass the Punisher character is portrayed in this movie, for the first time, I see the punisher character as we all wanted to see, cool, bad ass and kicks ass more than using his arsenal of weapons.

I guess one of the main reasons for the succeed of this movie is that the story and the screenplay all had been written by Japanese writers, which the point of view and character development is different than the America way, and let us not forget it’s also been directed by another Japanese director and that’s the secret with the dark lightening in the whole movie.

AVENGERS CONFIDENTIAL: BLACK WIDOW AND PUNISHER. I rate 8/10. Three reasons why I’m satisfied with the movie: 1- The characters are well developed and entertaining. 2- The story plot is interesting to watch till the end. 3- The chemistry between the two characters is extraordinary.
