PLOT: “When Gotham is plagued by crime committed by an animal-themed villain squad composed of The Penguin, Silverback, Cheetah, Killer Croc and Man-Bat, Batman and other heroes band together to stop them.

MY THOUGHTS: I truly don’t know what to say about this new animation from DC and WB, but I believe that they wanted to change the tone of the animation that they are aiming at and probably bring new young kids to watch it, with no blood and curses.

The plot is good and well structured, but you can sense that this animation was done to emphasis on the Flash and Green Arrow image since those two characters have their own TV series. So, I thought it kind of a commercial sell for the two characters. The chemistry between the characters was alright if we considered that there were lots of characters that are doing the same thing.

What I really like about this animation is that the Penguin is the mastermind behind building this squad of misfits’ animals such as Killer croc, Cheetah, Silverback, Man-Bat, plus the three robot animals. The voice of Batman was great, and in some parts of it I felt that it was the well-known Kevin Conroy who’s doing the voice, but it was Roger Craig Smith all and all, the voice acting was fitted to every character and the dialogue never seemed out of place or forced. The action scenes are nice to watch, but not as good as the original animation from DC, such as JLA:War, JLA: The flashpoint paradox and other DC late animations.

BATMAN UNLIMITED. I rate 6/10. Three reasons why I’m alright with the movie: 1- Great voice acting. 2- New twist on the Penguin story. 3- The chemistry between the characters was believable.
